So, who am I?
This is a very good question, because just like you, that changes depending on the day, situation or what I’m focusing on.
As a painfully shy child, I spent my school years watching people since I was paralyzed by the fear of joining in and being teased. Once I graduated, I turned to alcohol and drugs to feel comfortable in my own skin. In my early 30’s I was introduced to recovery and a new way of life. I have spent the last 20 years trying to wrap my head around the science behind why we think and act the way we do.
In recovery, I still had many fears and insecurities. Sometimes, I let them hold me back. It wasn’t until I hired my first life coach that I learned how to overcome most of them. Through self discovery, I found that my experience could benefit others. I also noticed that people often came to me for advice. I embarked on the journey to become a certified Business and Life Coach through ICF. Later, when I was introduced to hypnosis and NLP, a whole new dimension opened up. I found that beliefs and behaviors that normally took months or years to change could be miraculously modified in a few hours.
Now I’m helping people like you and me win at the game of life. The stories we tell ourselves have kept us safe and gotten us this far. Oftentimes, these stories were passed down from our families, teachers and friends. Unless we look at them for what they are, stories, they can control our everyday decisions. What we do now, determines our future. The past is not a predictor of what we are able to achieve. Everyday we get to choose who we are.
